
State and Lake Chicago Tavern is a cozy, upscale, pub-style tavern with interesting twists on bistro fare from our award-winning Chefs. Breakfast menus range from a goat cheese frittata, fruit parfaits and fresh-baked muffins to the famous red velvet pancakes with vanilla mascarpone and candied pecans. Lunch and dinner options feature small plates, expressive appetizers and favorite sides such as buffalo fries with Maytag blue cheese, world-class burgers and heartier dinner options such as roasted "free bird" chicken with chive whipped potatoes. We offer a wide selection of over 16 craft beers on tap, many from the Midwest, which can be paired gracefully with any of the season fare as will our wines and handcrafted cocktails. For entertainment, televised trivia games or sports viewing, nine, 60-inch, flat screen televisions rise from behind the seating areas on hydraulic lifts for game day excitement in a warm, comfortable atmosphere.
